Fall 2025-26 Registration

Below are forms for Registration, Bursary Assistance, etc.  Bursary assistance is available, please fill out and submit the application form. Please note that the family rate is determined by paying for two (2) oldest children the rest are free. All choristers are required to pay an annual 25.00 admin fee which is not eligible for bursary funding. Bursary requests will be considered for up to 75% of the fee

Allegretto:  Grades 1 – 3      Monday 5:30 – 6:20 pm        $350.00 (1 term only $200.00)

This is an entry level choral program for young singers (minimum age 6). Singers will learn the basics of singing technique, performance, teamwork using music games and activities to reinforce concepts. Skills taught will be age and ability appropriate. This group will sing in English and other languages with music representing diverse styles and genres. They will perform on their own as well as singing in a massed choir with the other groups. The music is primarily unison or rounds with optional 2nd parts. Annual performances include 2 family concerts, community events, anthems at Attack games, seniors homes (when permitted), church services. We are always looking for special opportunities to showcase our young singers. Total performances each year approx. 6 – 8.

Youth Singers: Grades 4 – 6    Monday 6:00 – 7:15 pm    $430.00 (1 term only $260.00)

This group for singers grade 4 – 6 will focus on development of musical skills, expansion of repertoire and introduction to music literacy program – The Young Singers Journey. They will  perform on their own as well as singing in a massed choir with the other groups. Music selections will be drawn from folk, sacred, Broadway, film, pop, spiritual and world genres. Our goal is to have them experience the best choral music composed for children’s voices. They will sing in English as well as other languages and include unison, 2 part and optional additional part singing. Appropriate percussion instruments will be incorporated into performances. 

Young Singers Journey – Music Literacy Program

This is a program of 5 workbooks designed to develop both listening and sight reading skills for young singers. Choristers will receive individual workbooks as part of their music package (no additional charge) and are encouraged to go through them both at home and during the time provided at choir. Awards are given at the end of each year for each workbook completed. Marking of the books will be done each week during rehearsals.

Annual performances include 2 family concerts, community events, anthems at Attack games, seniors homes (when permitted), church services. We are always looking for special opportunities to showcase our young singers. Total performances each year approx 8 – 10.

Chamber Ensemble: Grade 7 and up    6:45 – 8:15 pm     $500.00 (1 term only $300.00)

This group is designed for singers who are looking for additional stimulation and exposure to more challenging music and unique performance opportunities. It will include students from grade 7 and up with selections for changed voices. Selection will include multiple languages and cultural experiences, as well as 2, 3, and 4 part singing. Participation in the Young Singers Journey literacy program is crucial to develop literacy and sight singing skills.

This group has travelled extensively throughout Canada, the USA and Europe. As Canadian ambassadors personal deportment and self control are critical for members. While no tour plans are in place for this season, we hope to resume participation in international music festivals as soon as it is safe to do so. Our program is designed to provide a solid base for future touring.

Music selections will span all genres and eras (pop, classical, sacred, folk, African spiritual, world, indigenous, Broadway, jazz, blues, modern, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical). Standard languages are English, French, Latin and German. We strive to perform repertoire that uses original language and text as much as possible.

Annual performances include 2 family concerts, community events, anthems at Attack games, seniors home (when permitted), church services and unique invitational events. WE are always looking for special opportunities to showcase our young singers. Total performances each year approx. 10-12.
